    HTC HD2 Accessories

OK, been looking a bit at accessories... so I started my own thread to avoid hijacking the other HD2 thread. What type of case would be best for a phone like this? I ask because this will be my first phone that doesn't open and has a screen covering most of the front (a la iPod) so want to protect it. I see screen protectors, but I really would prefer a full cover that will protect the screen and give access to the buttons and everything on the back. After a bit of looking around I found these:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Silicone-Case-...item5ad52d76fc

(I really like this one, but not 100% sure that it's got a screen protector on it or if the screen just looks like that)

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Genuine-Pouch-...item5ad520758e

(Apparantly the "official" case, doesn't give access to anything whilst in the case but does look very nice)

Anyone found any other good cases?

What about desk cradles, so the phone stands up on the desk? Preferably one that will also have a USB plug on it so it charges and connects to my PC with minimal hassle? Something like this but for the HD2 obviously.

    Cheers people!

    Re: HTC HD2 Accessories

    Hi Allen,

I have a Touch HD, waiting for my contract to expire so I can get my hands on one of these beauties, with said Silicone case, Martin fields screen protector & the desktop cradle you speak off (yes it does charge and sync, plus can charge another battery if you plug it in). All essential items if you ask me but I would wait for them to release the stuff over here, which I reckon will be about Jan / Feb time. What ever you do, DO NOT use this phone with out these items cause at 500 squid these ain't cheap & they are scratch magnets. the HTC case ain't worth it IMO.

Couple of other points -for hacks and stuff check xda-developers,

Put in as big a SDHC card as you can and install all apps on that

Yer check mobile fun for ur accessories probably cheapest on the net for the stuff you need

Get urself tomtom will probably work on this but check xda developers for info, I think its better than google maps

    Hope that helps

    From envious HTC HD owner

Have an 8GB card in my Kaiser, will just use that. Should do for now, don't wanna spend out on another one unless I really need it.

Keep me updated please, might place an order for that first one if it's any good as it comes with a screen protector.

    Re: HTC HD2 Accessories

Well they arrived today, look nice and protect the phone, however the fit isnt brilliant so the light sensors dont work when your in a call..
Also the "free" screen protector is about 5x4 so you have to cut it to fit, I wont bother as tbh I dont think it'll work with a capacitive screen and I cba tonight, might try it tomorrow...

    Re: HTC HD2 Accessories

Hmm, so they look good, but other than that aren't too great?

Think I'll wait for more to come out. Still waiting for the phone so I'm in no rush at the moment.

    Re: HTC HD2 Accessories

Has anyone seen a good hard case?

I'm still looking but leaning heavily towards an HD2 but I'm worried of the screen being crushed/cracked in a pocket, especially if it ends up out when I'm away with the TA...

    Re: HTC HD2 Accessories

I've ordered a resin case from good ole' HK, it doesnt cover the screen tho, tbh if your gonna be taking it away then a hinged flip case would be the best bet chap..

    Re: HTC HD2 Accessories

I have the official case as it came with the phone. Good, if basic case. Only problem is that due to the protrusion of the camera from the back of the phone, it pushes on the case slightly. No real problem but you are left with a little indent of the camera. It is a nice material on the inside though so doesn't scratch the phone.

    I have ordered this case:
    Leather Pouch
for £14. It came recommended on XDA. I should get it in the next couple of days so will let you know what it is like.

I was also looking at this:
    Tough silicone case
No pictures yet but they have same case for the hero on the site click me and it looks pretty good. Quality from proporta normally good as well.
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

    Re: HTC HD2 Accessories

TBH I love my HD2 but impossible to get accessories for it at the moment. I know it's a new phone but no shops have anything yet, you can only get stuff on the net. Think it will be a few months before it all kicks off properly. I just wish companies would support the first decent iphone killer with as many accessories as the iphone has.

Tell me about it, thing is all the people that go out and buy the proper car kit for it will need to buy new cases as the car kit has a dock panel on the back of the device, swap the battery cover out which...
