Getting rid of old phones... Ebay?

Well now that I have upgraded to the Desire I should sell my Touch HD while it is worth something. It's a shame to see it go as it is a fantastic device (albeit slow compared to android).

Just looking for ideas on how to get rid of it. Envirofone/Mazuma pays £127 for it and it goes on ebay for £140-180, as far as I can see, so probably not worth it after fees. Looks like there is no interest for this handset on AVForums (I didn't try to sell mine on there, but I can see other people are struggling).

What do you guys do to get rid of your old handsets?

    Well ebay/paypal take 15% so you'd be looking at £119 - £153 (excl P&P)

CEX offer the same £127 (cash) as trade in sites.

http://mobilevaluer.com/ shows you would really get a max of £130 from a trade in site.

http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/pho...bile-recycling might have some tips. Forums always work best for me but obviously not here on Hexus, are you a member of TheDigitalFix (previously DVDForums?)

Not a member there, but will have a look. Is there a minimum post count required?

    Don't think so http://forums.thedigitalfix.co.uk/fo...d.php?t=330685

Although as a new meber you may be treated a bit differently (fair enough though) & might get a little less interest/lower price. You could always link to your Trust which would help.

Re: Getting rid of old phones... Ebay?

I tend to go for eBay to get rid of my old phones, but if you've got a cex near you then it does save a lot of hassle. Overall if you can be bothered though you'll probably get a better return from eBay but there's always an element of luck!
