TV Catchup launches public mobile beta!

Well I for one have been waiting to see this running on Android Handsets after the iPhone app arrived, and today just in time for the opening world cup game too!

    http://m.tvcatchup.com

Picture quality is pretty fantastic considering the other offerings from the likes of yamgo.com

Early indications are that it is pretty intermittent and won't work on Vodafone 3g. Let me know how you get on!

I only get G / occasional 3G at home so I've also only tried on wifi so far, thought i'd wait until im in an area with stable signal before giving it a try on 3G/HSDPA.

if you signup does the website provide more information on which platforms are supported? i'm on windows mobile 6.5 and i'm guessing they haven't bothered developing the app to support it, as with many other programs

I am on windows mobile as well and I just went to the website at the start of this thread, registered and saved it as a favourite. Works perfectly for me on my HD2.

Sorry as I mentioned Android I don't think I made it clear that it is a web app that will work on most smartphones on android, winmo and possibly even symbian!

yeah it works fine on my htc touch 2 on t-mobile. I've only had a quick go but how do they afford the bandwidth costs? are they ad supported like seesaw? anyway great service, thanks for the link!

My HTC hero isn't liking it as much.

It either can't connect to the server or the video seems to freeze.

I wonder if it's just a load of people trying it out at the same time.

Are you using 3g or WiFi? I have seen people on O2 and Vodafone having issues due to port blocking. If however you are having issues with WiFi streaming then I haven't got a clue. You could try putting your handset's ip in the routers dmz or try using port forwarding.
