HTC Desire OR Samsung Galaxy S?

Despite everything I have heard I can't get enough of the Galaxy screen, it is beyond amazing! I also prefer the style & size of it over the Desire so I am certainly leaning towards it. I spent a long time in the T-mob store playing with both (got myself a parking ticket for the privilege ) and I kept finding myself pick up the Samsung phone time after time! it's just...that....screen!!

Im not massively worried about the software with Froyo round the corner & the XDA developers on the subject.

How are you finding it TAKTAK, any regrets? :s

I've got two colleagues who have the galaxy S and they regret it and are considering getting the desire that I have. The first person has had her phone replaced twice due to overheating and the latter has had their phone replaced because it doesn't hold a charge.

Yeah, but then my first desire bricked itself within 28 days of getting it, these things happen with any manufacturer.

This is the question I was just gonna ask. Had a shot of my friends SGS and loved it, its a huge step up from my Pulse. Not had a shot of the Desire yet but going by this thread I may want to try it before I buy the SGS, the screen on the SGS is swaying me though, but I have a month or so before I have to decide so no rush.

I was in the same situation, but I can't get enough of the screen on the galaxy and when I had both phones in front of me...I kept reaching for the galaxy to have a fiddle with. With XDA developers I'm not too worried about future software support for the galaxy.

The build quality between the two phones didn't seem that different to me. I prefer the finish on the HTC but I will be using a phone cover for most of the time so again, not too worried about it! Fingers crossed they come into stock next Monday, been told that's when the big delivery of them is!
