I've read a couple of reviews. It sounds like Desire-Lite. The processor is about half the speed, and most of the desire features are not there. You can get a Legend for £20 a month from Vodafone, which is only a little bit slower than a desire...

I wouldn't get it because of the low res screen.

the wildfire is HTC attempting to tap bigger market share.. just like what nokia did with the popular e71 phone, they came out witht he E66 i think.. bassically a lower end version of the same phone. Yeah the desire is doing fantastically well... they seem to be running out everywhere... I wouldn't settle for it though... it's something you'd buy your teen. Cause they dont deserve a full on smart phone lol. You deserve the desire Get it hahaa.

The Wildfire is a slightly trimmed down HTC Desire. In terms of size and specifications. However if it fits your budget, and you can't stretch to a Desire and you want Android, then it is still a very good phone. Engadget have a review over there.

The Wildfire has a lower resolution than the Desire. Why don't you consider the Legend instead then? It's a great phone too! About the same price as Wildfire
