30-40 texts a day? You must be hooked bit time, kinda phone glued to your hand 24/7
Is the app free? Cos if it isn't then I'd still say that texting is the better way to communicate, especially with having 5000 texts a month, and with the data on my plan being the thing that gets closest to the limit, I think I'll stick to texting.

Yeah, it's my girlfriend constantly texting me and mates getting bored in lectures and stuff; gotta find something to do in my lunch break aswell

I have it constantly working on mine, got profiles set up for preserving battery life (turn hsdpa/gprs off and use the wifi on 15 minute toggle to sync data through the night) and a profile when I plug in headphones it opens a menu with the audio apps to open

The profiles on the site that you can download are pretty awesome

I use it more than I thought I would. I have about 15-20 profiles which I made myself... most of them do small things like wifi on and 2g radio when I get home.

Yup. I thought that the free version was so good that developer deserved payment... The pro version has a couple of nice features like you can keep starred/shared articles on your device for as long as you want, you get night mode and full screen mode.

Re: Your top 5 phone apps

    On my HTC Desire 2.2

    1) SetCPU - nice for throttling the cpu down based upon user defined profiles ie. lowest when screen is off, x % of CPU when battery is < x% etc... (requires root)
    2) Torque - using a bluetooth ODB2 (On board diagnostics) dongle I can connect to my Seat Leon Cupra R and get readings like temp, airflow etc, acceleration, RPM, in graphs or charts, on a number of configurable screens, in realtime. Also lets you read and clear fault codes
    3) imdb - indispensible if like me, you want to know where you've seen that person before, in that random program youve watched
    4) Air control - So addictive it hurts
    5) Pocket Cloud - Free RDP client app, so I can get to my home server to sort out niggles if need be. And its just plain cool to RDP from a phone.

These are prob my fave ones - and as you can see, games arent my top priority, but love useful value-add apps (You know I've been at work too long if Ive said value-add...)

HTC Desire - Android 2.2 - In no particular order:

    - Touch Racing Nitro (one of the most impressive android games i've played. Good gfx, innovative controls and a good selection of tracks)
    - Snesoid Lite (with help from Rom Buddy)
    - "Buzz" collection of apps (widgets for gadgets/mobile/gaming news)
    - Mini Squadron (great fun 2d flying / dog-fight game)
    - Extended Controls (Fantastic widgets app for any setting / function)
    - ES File explorer (Really good file manager that has a bunch of excellent features)

    Oh, that's 6, but nevermind!
