Three Provider
Hi,
I am looking at joining three as they have good coverage in my area. They also offer a good contract and a reasonable price which other providers are not able to match. I was just wondering what peoples experiences are of three as a network provider?
Many thanks

Re: Three Provider
Pretty good apart from the rude guy who once called me from a call centre.
coverage decent, and they have let me lock out mobile internet so I don't end up paying tons by accident.

Re: Three Provider
I'm a 3 user as well, 2 thumbs up :)
Just make sure you pay attention to what your plan entails... many customers (doesn't matter which service provider you sign with) end up not reading their contracts carefully and regret signing, say a 24 month contract. Remember such a long term commitment may be frustrating when you find yourself wanting to get out of it later, been there myself, so just remember that 24 months sounds shorter than it really is lol.

Re: Three Provider
I was with Three a little while, and whilst the network coverage was ok, the amount of dropped calls I got made me leave them.
Also be aware that they are currently bringing an end to the roaming agreement with Orange (i.e when you have no Three 3G signal, it roams onto Orange 2G for calls etc).
Check the areas you frequently visit with the Three coverage checker, but choose the mobile broadband option, as this only shows the Three 3G service, where as the phone coverage shows Orange as well.
This has left some people with no service.

Re: Three Provider
Three have the largest 3G coverage in the UK, so for smartphones this is great as well at their tariffs being cheaper in some cases

Re: Three Provider
I subscribed to Three in December 2007 because a) they were offering a free Nintendo DS and I wanted one as a Christmas pressie for my daughter and b) because of their 3G coverage. I started out with a Nokia 6100 (pretty basic) and a 3G dongle for my laptop with 1gb per month. I've been very happy with their 3G network, not so impressed with their 2G which is very poor in my area (Cumbria). I've stayed with them just because of the excellent 3G when I'm away on business.
I've upgraded twice, most recently to a HTC Desire, and their pricing seems competitive. Customer support has been pretty good. When my daughter lost my 3G dongle (!) one phone call to Three and there was a new one in 2 days.
