Don't get me started on the Desire S, terrible phone.
It's unsubstantiated because despite you calling it a "terrible" phone, none of us are any wiser to the reason why.

If I kept posting in this thread about how the Samsung sucked with no reasoning, you'd probably get annoyed because you think different. Others are seeing you as doing the same.

Ok then, for arguments sake lets take the HTC Sensation and compare it to the Galaxy S II. I think we can agree the Sensation is the best HTC has to offer.

Lets look at some key points, I won't go into detail because you can find this out for yourself -

Screen - Galaxy S II wins hands down, the qHD res offers nothing substantial in real world use over a normal resolution and SAMOLED+ is far, far superior to normal LCD.

Hardware internals - Galaxy S II has a faster CPU (Exynos), more memory, more RAM, better GPU. Much, much better DAC on the Samsung too for superior audio quality.

Build quality - Subjective, no clear winner. The SGS II is very well made, the fact it is light does not change that fact.

Battery life - Galaxy S II wins again, boasting a slightly bigger battery and more power efficient screen.

Software - Both Android 2.3. Again, subjective, the new Sense UI is flawed and not as good as it was. The new TouchWiz, while arguably worse is still a big improvement on the previous version.

Camera/Video - Both are considerably better on the Galaxy S II, absolutely no question. It seems HTC still don't know how to make a decent camera. Having said that, the Sensation camera isn't too bad.

Any more questions, feel free to ask.

I think Blueballs point is that anyone, not knowing much about phones would read what you said and take it for the truth.

You have rattled off a lot of informaiton but then posted nothing that backs up what you say.

Well, I think if you have a read of some reviews you will find everything I have said is backed up on all points. For your reading pleasure -

    http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i910...review-597.php

    http://www.techradar.com/reviews/pho...-930907/review

To pull a few key points out of the air, we'll use TechRadar.

This is how they summarise the Sensation -

    For
    Premium build
    Fast operation
    Pin-sharp screen
    Accurate keyboard
    Slick 3D animations

    Against
    Awful battery life
    Still poor in direct light
    Video player erratic
    Power button slightly lost
    Camera needs to be faster

This is how they Summarise the Galaxy S 2 -

    For
    Super-fast reaction times
    Slim design
    Ridiculously clear screen
    Clear call quality
    1080p video recording

    Against
Flimsy back cover - Absolute non-point as it sits 100% solid when attached to the phone. All phone back covers are flimsy.
Poor keyboard layout - The default Gingerbread keyboard is pre-installed, so another non-point.
Samsung Apps portal - Just dont use this if you dont like it? Non point.

And just because you like 'evidence', its #1 on their best phones in the world list - http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-...440?artc_pg=21

As you can see from those few points, the only 'negatives' the SGS2 has aren't really negatives at all, they just had to come up with something!

agreed! the desire S really is an amazing phone with good battery too! however the Incredible S seems to me to be a slight step dwon from it (i could be wrong). perhaps you should look at the soon to be released HTC HD7 S or the Sony ericsson Xperia arc

The Desire S has an average battery, the Incredible S is better in every way unless you think its too big (but the dimensions are similar and the larger screen is much nicer).
