The SGS2 doesn't have NFC in it. Im sure I read that somewhere, but can't recall the source, however it has been rooted over at XDA if you into that sort of thing.
I loved the HTC Desire tinkerability, but I have to be honest, the SGS2 would be my purchase if I were looking to get another Android phone.
SGS2 does have NFC, it's just that the version released in the UK at the moment doesn't have it. Samsung have confirmed the NFC enabled versions will be arriving soon. I'm not overly excited about NFC so wasn't bothered to get a non-NFC version.

ElectricPig Sensation review
http://www.electricpig.co.uk/2011/05...sation-review/
Dont think that review is very good imo...
Galaxy has the screen going for it and the being a few mm thinner, i like how the Lg optimus 2x is completely ignored throughout, especially the benchmark bit... my 2x scores around 3200 in quadrant on stock clocks! I think i read that the sensation is setup different whereas it uses both cores when the first core is fully loaded, instead of using 2 cores simultaneously which if true is stupid as it doesnt really help... its good to get tasks done as quick as possible and not just wait for them to be finished on one lol, huge oversight if it is.
However it looks like a great phone, i think really they are all good phones with their pros and cons...
SGS2
Atrix
Sensation
2x
All great phones, 2x has shoddy stock roms but they are still quite good, as soon as i installed modaco rom it was blazing fast and i havent crashed once in a whole week.... not bad imo (havent had it long so you know).
A big decider against the Sensation for me was the locked bootloader, HTC basically sticking a big two fingers up at those of us who like to tinker with custom ROMs. Looking forward to trying out all manner of weird and wonderful ROMs on my SGS2.
Hmm yea I'm not so keen on this phone now.
Doubt it will be long before the bootloader is sorted, I'm quite happy with my DHD though tbh so unless something really good comes out I'll be sticking with it until it breaks..
its been almost 2 months since i lots my Desire and i was almost tempted with the SGS2 but now the sensation is out no way am switch from HTC..
i loved my HTC wife said i loved it too much
