    I believe the HTC Evo 3D is next and was supposed to be released this month, so im pretty sure that is the next high end addition

    * EVO has 1750mh battery
    * EVO has 1Gb Ram
    * 3D Camera

    Other than that and a slightly different look, its pretty much the same.

    Re: HTC Sensation

    tbh I'm more than happy with my DHD but as I now have a tablet it'd be nice to have the power/features of the DHD with a smaller screen perhaps..?
    3d camera certainly doesnt interest me..

    Don't you drive an old Vauxhall? I bet the inside of that is full of cheap and horrid plastic.

    The Galaxy S 2 plastic is premium and it's very robust. Don't be fooled just because it's light.

    Battery life is poor.
    Creaks no end and seems poorly constructed.
    Camera colours are all wrong, quality is poor also.

    It's a slight improvement over the Desire HD but up against the SGS2, there is simply no contest.
    its heavy... no not really, i find its quite light

    Poor screen, no its really not poor at all and its well above average and the higher res makes browsing web noticeably better

    Wifi does work, stop over exaggerating an issue... htc fixed this immediately? My dads phone has no noticeable signal loss, i held both hands completely covering the phone as much as physically possible and it dropped 1 bar on the wifi and the actual phone signal didnt move at all, better than most phones actually and you can tell if its the fixed version as there's 3 gold contact points on the back inside(well it seems this looks like the fixed version, my dads sensation has 3 contact points)

    Battery life is suprisingly good, my dad gets over two days of use with it, all comes down to personal use.

    creaks? my dads first sensation did and it had way to much movement at the bottom, replaced it immediately and theres no problem at all. QA issue it seems, same as every other company just like Apple has dye on the screen/backlight bleed etc and samsung has the random circle burned into the screen on some, nothing new here.

    Camera is good for a HTC, HTC always had shocking cameras but this is certainly above average .

    Against the SGS2 it kicks ass, i prefer sense over the touchwiz aka Iphone (i hate that interface, its POO), the SGS2 feels like a toy... it may be engineered to be "light" and not be "flimsy" but its impossible to have a strong thin product unless the materials change, it hasnt! Its a crappy back cover and everyone knows it, also the sgs2 looks a bit to much like an iphone ( i prefer more than 2 capacitve buttons and a main button) and the sgs2 feels a bit to wide IMO.

    Its preference, for me my Lg Optimus 2x decimates everything with custom roms and was cheap as chips and has been solid in terms of reliability and performance, battery life is about 2 days wish it was better though.

    Now look, let's be honest and objective here. Saying Android Phone A is better than Android Phone B because it has a better UI is bunkum, I have an SGS2 and I think Touchwiz is a steaming pile of monkey poo having come from a Desire. But it's entirely moot; why? Because if I don't like the stock UI I just slap on another from the market. I run LauncherPro and love it to bits, I ran it on the Desire too so there's no difference in UI from one machine to the next for me. And once you do that and compare them side by side....I'm not going to go mental and say the SGS2 'kicks the Sensation's ass' but it doesn't take a quantum physicist to figure out the Samsung outguns the Sensation in nearly every department as far as spec and performance goes.

    Build quality is really the only thing the Sensation has over the SGS2 (and God don't we Samsung owners know it after having it rammed in our face for the twentieth time by every rabid HTC fanboi), the Samsung does feel very light but at the same time it doesn't quite feel like it'll break apart on you. And the back cover? Have you actually tried to snap one? It bends entirely in half with no stress to it, the damned thing is virtually indestructible they should build bridges from that stuff!

    Re: HTC Sensation

    sorry, clearly i went a bit overboard on that comment! Let me clear that up a bit since its now not aimed towards that stupid ignorant fanboy that is now banned :

    IMO the SGS2 is not a brilliant phone for me due to the size and overall iphone clone, the imitation carbon effect on the back feels cheap and nasty. SGS2 if its a good size for you and dont mind the iphone similarities its solid, hardware is pretty good but so is the sensation, havent seen my dads struggle with anything yet so its swings and roundabouts.

    For me personally i agree with you on the UI, i meant at stock i find the sensation better... not everyone will change the launcher. The LG launcher is good but also terribly crap when it comes to performance, i swapped it out asap but as soon as its gone its brilliant so yeah android systems it can be a bit pointless if you can be bothered to change it.

    I think the sensation has better gps tracking and if you have the fixed version of the sensation the signal drop is alot less than the sgs2. Really though the performance from any dualcore phone is so much more than what is needed currently so are all good

    Im not a HTC fanboy if thats what you were implying , i have an LG optimus 2x and love it to bits its solid stuff, the quality of the materials just feel so much better than the sensation/sgs2/iphone etc.

    edit: also, dont really want a piece of plastic bending in half if its meant to stay straight...i havent owned an sgs2 but i honestly didnt like the feel irl so for me it wasnt a good choice

    No, its not what I'd call an old Vauxhall at all, that would be something like a 4/90 or something of similar age..

    But still, not relevant..

    I have a DesireHD and it just feels better than my mates S2, more robust and sturdier..

    The screen comes across as huge and it's still only 4.3 inches! Looks huge in the hand but better for watching vids and web browsing which is why my cousin bought it.

    Heavy??? The Sensation is relatively light for its size. The Desire Z, now that's heavy.

    I unplugged my phone 23 hours and 1 minute ago, the battery is still on 68%. As its been the weekend I have only used it for some light browsing on the bog, updated google maps and a couple of apps and downloaded a few 10km square areas made a phone call to order curry and a few texts.
