    I got one yesterday Trig.

The build quality is of a high standard, my only complaint is the plastic case on the back is a bit soft other than that, I'm well happy for the cash!

I've not really found a viable solution for a dock yet. I've tried using CoPilot today whilst in the car though and it was spot on. I've had no issues with software yet either, I've only had 1 force close and I've been playing with ti almost none stop.

One thing I do notice with youtube HD clips is I don't get smooth playback at all, in fact it's quite annoying. I'll try video with rockplayer later.

Apparently it's a common problem with honeycomb as opposed to the hardware itself, it seems to happen on the xoom as well. So we just need to wait for a fix I guess.

I'm torn between this and the HTC Flyer now, I tihnk a 7" unit would still be usable (insert insert pun here)

Re: Finally got an Asus EeePad Transformer

When I played with the flyer I found it too small, I think 8.9" might turn out to be the optimum size.

Re: Finally got an Asus EeePad Transformer

Only tablets I've played with are on oposite ends of the scale, original iPad and then a Flytouch 2
I found the iPad too annoying to hold with it being curved at the back and not having any sort of grippy material, and the Fly is just crap, main letdown is the resistive screen instead of capacitive but for, what worked out to be £68 the fly is pretty good for kids n the likes...

Need to have a proper play with the Vega one of the guys here has bought, seems to be cheap but not "too" cheap..

Re: Finally got an Asus EeePad Transformer

The vega has alot going for it, but personally I found the screen to be nowhere near good enough, the limited internal storage an issue and the overall build quality pretty low, but then what would you expect for under £200...

Yeah its all about the price vs usability, just wanna get my hands on as many as possible before any sort of choice is made..

Re: Finally got an Asus EeePad Transformer

That's fair enough. I'm so glad I was able to make it to the Gaget Show Live this year as it gave me a good chance to play with loads of them and make my mind up on the Transformer.

Re: Finally got an Asus EeePad Transformer

Yeah the transformer is the one that grabbed my attention to start with, just hoping that the delay in the keyboard dock is down to them actually tailoring it to Android instead of it just being from a netbook...
I do like my HTC stuff tho, but like you said, 7" might be too small :/

Re: Finally got an Asus EeePad Transformer

Just read that the Flyer is out in the US in the next few days for $500...

And it doesn't come with the pen, that costs $80 extra...

One of its main advertised features not as standard..

Re: Finally got an Asus EeePad Transformer

Bit much I thought but thatcould well be down to the american best buy being very crafty. 3 currently want 913 over 2 years for the flyer so it will be interesting to see how much it is for just wifi.

Re: Finally got an Asus EeePad Transformer

At this moment in time I'm sorry to say the iPad is miles ahead in the tablet market, getting an Android tablet is a mistake.

Honeycomb is frankly shocking at the moment and the app selection is dire.

Even people who hate Apple should swallow their pride and just get an iPad2 until Google sort this mess out. They will get there.

Re: Finally got an Asus EeePad Transformer

I disagree, the only thing IMHO that puts them ahead is the price, theres nothing really special of show stopping about the iPad but the fact that Apple has hit a price point that others seem to miss is whats putting them where they are..
