    Question Nokia E7 vs N8?

Now i've read the myriad of reviews available, and I'm still undecided which one I want to replace my ageing iPhone 3G. Currently siding more with the N8, but I'm looking for real-world experiences

Ruled out the Dell Streak finally, but was tempted.

E7. I just love the form factor which was the N97 when I had it, and I like the keyboard. Would you really go with Nokia though at the moment?

    Re: Nokia E7 vs N8?

One of my mates has an N8 and in terms of build quality I would rate it quite highly. The screen is quite good too and the camera is excellent IMHO.

    Re: Nokia E7 vs N8?

    N8 is excellent IMHO

hardware is tops, and I got it free from Orange on 22.50/mth inc push email and 500MB internet, about 300 mins mobile and virtually unlimited landline plus approx 300 texts.

camera is def the best available on a phone.

I have no problems with Symbian, but others will disagree. My 2c

    Re: Nokia E7 vs N8?

They are both very poor to be honest.

The N8 has a great camera but the good stuff stops there, everything else about it is awful.

The E7 is pretty much the same thing, but with a more average camera and a hardware keyboard.

    Avoid them both.

    Re: Nokia E7 vs N8?

I run endomondo on my N8, and it tracks better (much) than Blackberries and iPhones - when we compare results afterwards, it's pretty clear. Same with geocache apps, because the GPS is better. Obviously is doesn't have the range of apps that an android or iphone would have, but does me FIIIIIIIINE

and the free OVI maps is a big cost saver when traveling internationally.

    8-)

Apps aside, the software is old, flawed and horrible to use.

you seriously seem to be out to just annoy people , IOS is personally for me horrid to use... WM 6.5 and WP7 kick it in the nuts multiple times, nokia isnt bad either really if it does the job it does the job and has a solid camera for a phone!

WM 6.5? Don't make me laugh, you must be joking/trolling.

'Does the job' is about as good as the N8 gets.

The contract prices will probably be around £25-35 per month (depending on tariff), free phone.

£400 PayG. At a guess, I cant confirm anything about that at the moment until Nokia actually launch it.
