    Re: SGSII Thread

I had one for a week and sent it back.

As I said, I like the SGS2, the device itself isn't slow but Android is quite awful to be honest. I mean, why have all that power and then have only a handful of poor 3D games that run on it, or 1080p video with inferior quality to the iPhone 4 which is a year old?

Also, it feels like it's made of cheap, horrible plastic and that it will fall apart if you even look at it funny. The iPhone 4 is worlds apart.

I don't know why you brought price into it? Everyone can afford an iPhone, but it may be a bit much for them and they would rather bury their heads in the sand and use the inferior phone in denial.

I haven't checked yet but it's getting to join the nightlies as of early this morning so should hopefully be there now. It's not fully functional yet.

    Re: SGSII Thread

I love my SGSII ! I agree the build quality may not match HTC or the iPhone. In terms of hardware and functionality as a phone, which is what I purchase it for it blows the iPhone out of the water !. A case is recommended, there is the official Samsung case, which isn't bulky.

Thousands of contacts, images, music, 6 pages of Apps and there is no degradation to the speed of the phone at all, this can't be said for other phones.

The screen is awesome as well as the network speed, it's not just a fashion accessory it's a fully fledged phone, plus the battery life is excellent and even better with 2.3.4, which you don't need to root / unlock to get the features you should already have from a premium phone.

    Recommended.

Ha, have you used it with bluetooth keyboard and mouse and Mhl cable to a big tv's hdmi port. It's a fully fledged computer!!

Edit: maybe I shouldn't mention that to someone from Scan I'm sure there's plenty of life in the pc yet.

    Brutos

The sensation is noticeably slower as there is less internal RAM, the screen is also no where near as good and is thicker. But the build quality is better and feels more sold.
