Noooooooooo, the screen seems to have gone!!!
I got it on the 26/06 as well so its just out of the 28 day returns period so I suppose I will have to wait for repair. :-(

The screen won't turn on or wut?
I get a bit of light in the bottom left of the screen, it gets really hot around the bottom of the phone.
It sparked to life for a second this morning but sadly is still dead :-(

I'd beg with the retail store - beg and beg - otherwise you'll be without it for a month...
Please do not message me about Scan Free shipping, I no longer work for HEXUS.net
Sadly I got it via Chitter Chatter and they don't have any stores up here.
I wacked it in the post this morning and I am back on my old Desire. I hear HTC's repair service is a shambles, I will report back.

Actually I have nothing but praise for HTC's repairs. I had a HTC Hero - had dust under screen about a year in and I sent it off and had it back within 7 working days. The second time I sent my HTC Desire off with the well known overheating / restarting issue. Had it back within 10 days.
It seems that during the period where they were getting huge amounts of HTC Desires returned they had just opened a new repair centre and so it overwhelmed them as they hadn't got the infrastructure of the new repair centre in place but where using it anyway.
Oh, and remember to chase up with your provider to recouperate cost of contract during the period you were without the phone - i've got the odd £20 credit on my bill by ringing up and complaining when i've had to send phones away for repair.
Good luck - hope you aren't without it for too long.

Right well...
Really unhappy.
Phone has been returned as 'unrepairable' because the litmus next to the USB connection is red. Now the phone was subjected to some dampness as it was in my bag while it rained as I played fotball last Wednesday but I took it out afterwards and it wasn't really wet. They have returned the phone without contacting me and without the battery (which had a white water damage thingy on it, not red).
so not even offered me a chargeable repair, just sent straight back. The phone wasn't subjected to anything out of the ordinary, its not like I submerged it in water.
any suggestions before i go mental at them this afternoon?

Claim against house insurance?
Or do you have one of those additions-type bank accounts? You usually get mobile phone insurance with them...
No chance, got no insurance.
Might take some after its repaired tho...

The HTC Sensation has had awful manufacturing problems, they are very badly put together it would seem.
If you have any evidence for that I would love to see it. I am really not happy how mine has died, I really didn't do anything out of the ordinary with it.

t have any evidence per se, but I often frequent XDA developers and there just seem to be no end of people reporting manufacturing issues, more so than on average
