    Re: 3 mobile contract

Regarding the PAC code I used it on 20th October. But there is nothing in their t&c that mentions transferring of the PAC code being the actual cancellation date.
If you used the PAC on the 20th of October, this means the contract ended on the 20th of October (or a couple of days after) and you will be billed up until this point. Are you saying that Three billed you even after the number transferred to the new network? If they did, that is wrong.

    Re: 3 mobile contract

    Hi,
    Yes they did.

My monthly 'pay date' ended on 22nd of each month, then re-started again on 23rd of each month. I had already cancelled and given notice on 1st of the month. It is difficult cos the fone companies are re-writing the meaning of words even more than the flipping legal industry do. As you have stated the transferring of the PAC is the official cancellation date for a fone company, not the date you actually write and inform them of.

They have sent me two letters now, the patronising one and the end of bill bill. Surely that is what I am paying for? I mean to have customer services look at the issue, compose and write a letter, the cost of paper ink and postage and all the many calls before hand trying to get me to change my mind without any success etc. etc. must be at least £4. They are simply trying to recoup the costs they indulged themselves in trying to get me to change my mind and their customer services afterwards!

Am half motivated to write back and complain But it has gone on so long now and quite frankly I am beginning to lose the will to live With Xmas coming up I prefer to still be alive to receive my prezzies .

Thanks for all your help and support, and season's greetings to all

    Re: 3 mobile contract

If you gave your new network the PAC on 20th, I suspect it would have been around the 24th that the number transferred over (given that there was a weekend in between and IIRC, weekends don't count against the number of days a network has to transfer your number) so you will have entered another billing cycle with Three at that point. What day did your number actually transfer over?

On there website they say you just ask for your PAC code and as long as you move it within 30 days that is the end of the contract with them.

I'm not sure whether to write to them or phone them for PAC code. I cannot even find an address to write to.

    Re: 3 mobile contract

Had the same happen with 3, ended up paying an extra month on my contract before they would cancel the contract. Dealing with their CS is a nightmare in itself, so I just let it go and was happy to be rid of them. Their service was rubbish for me (especially indoors), their CS straight up called me a liar a few times (both when I said my signal was poor and when I told them O2 were offering a better deal to me as a new customer than they were trying to keep me). Moved to O2 and my signal has never been better, I haven't even needed to contact them since I got my phone.
