    So it's a 2012 device with a 2009 camera.

People are going to love that.... not.

    Re: New Galaxy Nexus

Hang on, yesterday, people were saying 5mp was enough for a phone...

I think I'd prefer the Vigor...

Edit: That would be the Sensation XE then. But where's the HD screen?

id expect it to actually be at least 8.0MP, since thats where samsung are right now.

CyanogenMod 8 for other devices soon then!

    Re: New Galaxy Nexus

I've got an S2, with an 4.3" screen and .35" is much but, surely it's bordering on too big? 720p is awesome though.

Also wonder why they went with the OMAP and not Samsung's own chip.

    Re: New Galaxy Nexus

The pixel density on that screen seems to be pretty close to Apple's Retina display, I don't know my maths well enough to know how to work out how close but it should be an ULTRA crisp display. Then when you add in the Super AMOLED HD (assuming that's better than AMOLED+) you're gonna have a beautiful display.

Can anyone explain what advantage having a curved screen has?

    Re: New Galaxy Nexus

This is now on my short list for an upgrade. I think I might be eligible for an upgrade now, but I want to wait for Android 4 before making the leap. Despite cunning out of storage space quite regularly, I still really like my Desire.

i thaught that when i went from my 3.2" Hero to 4" Galaxy S, and then thaught it again when i went from S to SII... but as long as they keep reducing the thickness each time i guess i could go up to a 5" without any worries.

good question, dunno - hopefully for performance reasons, be it power saving or more speed, and not just because they have reached capacity with the SII and Tab 7". it could just be a mistake as well - the Exynos is a chipset and not a processor after all, and its an ARM Cortex A9 same as what is being touted here.. we shall wait and see.

ergonomic innit swinging thumb follows an arc, so if the screen does a bit too then thats better, it seems better in my head anyway. more natural.

    Re: New Galaxy Nexus

    From Engadget:
Update: A new batch of rumored specs have surfaced over on GSM Arena, and these seem to be more in line with what we'd expect of a new Nexus. According to an anonymous Google employee, that 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD display mentioned above is just about the only spec to make the final cut. The processor, however, is more likely to be a dual-core 1.5GHz Exynos (that's right) with an accompanying dual-core PowerVR SGX543MP2 graphics chip. That rear facing camera? Try 8 megapixels with a newly beefed up sensor. The handset should also ship with a girthy 2,050mAh battery fully capable of juicing this apparent LTE / CDMA / GSM Android monster.

Enough second guessing, I'll just wait till the 11th.

    Re: New Galaxy Nexus

I want this - they can have my Galaxy S II back! I'm always out of sync for a Nexus phone.

Admittedly we need to wait for confirmed specs and reviews but I'm confident both will satisfy.

Looks real good, I was close to getting the last nexus s - but didn't for whatever reason. I like vanilla android, without the ole' sense or touch whiz.
