Fantastic, thanks for posting this up. Been waiting (along with everyone else!). Gues what I'll be doing when I finish work!!??
In two minds about whether to install this or not...
I'm already running CM7.1 on my SGS, but having heard mixed reviews about Gingerbread on Tablets not sure whether to bother before ICS is available?
[edit]
Just noticed that it's dual boot, guess I'll be giving it a go after all then!

Im sat looking at my mates Touchpad with it on and for an alpha release its looks quite good
I ended up having second thoughts. I read the disclaimer and thought it might be an idea to wait for a more stable future release. Big scardie cat!
Can you dual boot it?

I got rid of my Touchpad, it was a nice device but the OS wasnt upto what I wanted, and it did have some nice features of its own, tbh now its resigned to become yet another android tablet?
I'll hold fire for a little while - I remeber some of the early android ports on my old HD2 and they were pretty painful. I'm sure they will get a lot more stable though.

I'm surprised quite how good it is for an alpha!
The only issue I've had is that it doesn't always reconnect to wireless after waking up, but turning the wifi off and on again usually prompts it into action.
Still waiting for a more stable release. Thanks for posting though. TBH I'm quite happy with webOS for now, especially after the recent update.
Alpha3 is out

Having using alpha2.1 for quite a while... I'd say it's stable enough for day to day use now...
I did this on my touchpad the other week - and it's been absolutely rock solid. The only issues I have seen have been around the "sleep of death" (exactly the same problems I used to get when testing out Android on my old Windows Mobile phone), and they have been completely eliminated since Alpha 3.
It's much more Beta quality than alpha imo..ICS will take a few months to be ported I imagine, so this is pretty good for now.
I still don't like android, but i've done this just because I am a geek and it's funI suppose it's also nice to own one of the fastest Android tablets available..and certainly the fastest available for only £119.
Still a bargain tablet at the current £200 ebay prices tbh if you are after an Android tablet - nothing else under £400 comes close.
Tempted to install Alpha 3! Just wondering, what is ICS?
