    Mobile Device required

I'm looking to buy a Tablet unit that I can use to read PDF files and play AVI files. Most people would suggest an iPad however I've never been an Apple fan. With that said can any one recommend some products that don't break the bank and have a good capacity.

    Thanks,

    Paul.

Advent Vega is very good if your happy to instal cutom rom, its also very cheap when sold through ebay as a refurb (£140 or less). My only grumble (one flashed ) is taht the screen isnt that good in portrait, viewing angles are bad. I use my one a lot for viewing pdfs, I ended up buying a cheap 3rd part pdf viewer that gives more options, its cost 60p and is called ezpdfreader lite. Other thing to note i that its a 10" screen so notexactly compact

I have a Galaxy Tab, 5inch thing, rather nice little unit, does everything I can think of, not really sure what to use it for yet tho

Theres various sizes, new models out now too, can pretty much tailor them to your needs I think.

Violence and Lubrication is the solution to fixing everything, if it still doesn't work, you need more lubrication.

Thanks for the pointers. However they seem to be at a similar price to the iPad which is one of the main reasons not to go for them.
