    Re: Sony Xperia S

I've just sent my phone back to Sony this morning, I seem to have a handset with the yellow tint issue see: http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-...firmed-1074810

I hope to have it back ASAP, I've managed to get the battery life down a bit too, I've stopped using wifi completely, it was a real hog. Now I can get more then a day out of it!

    Re: Sony Xperia S

    Hi guys,

    Just a few notes.

I switched from this to a S3 because...

    1. Battery life - what is the point of a fantastic screen if the battery runs out halfway through the day with minimal use? (I know it's HD...but really? 6 hours?)

    2. The famed yellow tint

    3. General unergonomic design. Anyone got any thoughts on this? I just found it very difficult to hold for a long time to my ear.

    Re: Sony Xperia S

I have the yellow tint issue but it doesn't really bother that much and I don't want the hassle of sending it back.

The battle life has hugely improved since the latest firmware and with ICS released, it might even get better. I found the original issue to be down to the mobile settings (had to switch off auto mode between gprs and higher data rates)

I haven't had any issues using the phone but seems comfy to me. Guess depends on the person.

One thing I found is an app that makes the bottom bar flash as text etc notifications. Free app and a great little mod.

    Re: Sony Xperia S

Enjoy my S very much, other than the battery it's pretty much the perfect phone for me, saying that the battery really isn't much of an issue for me.
