I just got the new update, being able to make the multitask button into a menu button when you press and hold it is a godsend!
Feels a bit more responsive with the new version of sense aswell :)
Yes, it does seem more responsive and generally smoother, you're right.

The blank sections are where airline mode kicks in so I can get some uninterrupted sleep. I've used it almost hourly during the day for texts/calls.
Coupled with my Nexus7 I am in Android technology heaven.
I had the album set to private, should be fixed now.
Does anyone else think that we should probably have been given a 4.1 update by now? I mean this is the flagship handset (until the One X+ comes out)
The One X+ is said to have 4.1.2 and Sense 4+ already, so logically it should be fairly soon after that.
Still waiting for some jelly bean loving on my one X.
I can see why people prefer apple devices now. When they (apple) launch an update, everyone gets it at the same time as opposed to this stupid handset lottery of staggered updates.
I have ordered a Nexus 4, Not going with HTC again in the future, they have shown time and again that they dont really care for keeping older prodcuts up to date, I have seen this with the Sensation I had and now the One X, the One X+ has been out for what over a month now, thats pretty much the same phone with a higher clocked CPU and bigger battery, that has 4.1 why the long delay getting it out to existing customers?
Samsung is a little better but ill stick with vanilla google phones from now on I think.
Apple and Microsoft can get updates out pretty quick why not the likes of HTC and Samsung?
Google them self are the best of the lot as far as i can see, they have updates out extremely quickly, and for quite a large variety of devices. Problem is HTC and Samsung put such a heavy weight skin on top of the device then the operators put their own spin on it.... just takes forever.
Im totally with you though, this phone has been below average overall. I still get a kick out of the screen but if i could afford it i would get a replacement.
Hello,
I have a HTC One S and really like the phone. However, I am looking for an upgrade and cannot decide between HTC One X and HTC One X+. I am also developing an app for Andorid OS (something similar to this one: voip-sip-sdk.com/p_456-voip-android-integration-voip.html). I know that this thread is called The HTC One X tread but have you came across with the HTC J Butterfly? If not have a look at this review: techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/htc-j-butterfly-unveiled-with-full-hd-5-inch-display-1104984
I hope the phone will be available everywhere and not only in Japan.
TBH i wouldn't buy an HTC. The One X was supposed to be the flagship device and its still not received the 4.1 update, nevermind a 4.2 or beyond. They are not the company they once were and dont seem to offer their customers the same kind of support and general flexibility that made them so famous.
Im seriously considering flogging my One X more and more as the days go by and it annoys me further and further.
Aaaannnnnnnddddddddd I got 4.1.1. Hopefully they won't take this long to bring 4.2!
Hard to comment on improvements at the moment as it's downloading loads of updates and synchronizing. It has added a power saver thing to the notifications which might prove useful.
