Ditto, going to pick mine up very shortly.

I am just starting to look now for things I need for it. A decent case (the one mycarsavw linked looks pretty good), insurance (protectyourbubble.com £3.79), and a few good apps. This is where I need help!

I will need something for good HD media playback, I use MX player on my Sensation, guessing it works just as well on the Nexus 7? Any other good apps out there?

Games? I don't play many games on the Sensation, I tried some shooter types but couldn't get used to not seeing half of the screen with both thumbs over it, but on the Nexus 7 there's more room, so are they any good? I hear Madfinger games are pretty good? What about less fast action paced games like RPG/RTS styles, puzzle games (I love Flow Free for example), racing games?

Come on chaps, give me some advise to show off my new toy to my work colleagues and iSheep friends!

My favourite game at the moment is osmos Hd great little time waster..

I'm half tempted to go up to the 32gb 3g when I can, love my 16gb but I'm sure the missus would love it equally and then I can get a little extra use out of it on the bus!

It takes a big dump from up high all over the ipad mini. That is definitely overpriced for what it is.

Re: Google Nexus 7 Discussion Thread

So, I've got my 32gb Nexus 7 and have started playing with it. So far I really love it. But I'm really disappointed with Chrome on this tablet. I've been using Chrome on my laptop and desktop for about 3 years and would hate to use anything else, but it seems very poor running under Android. Where's the option to set a home page? Where's the bookmarks bar?

Can anyone recommend a slick Android browser?

Personally i love chrome for android!

Havent really missed the bookmarks or homepage... infact i cant even remember the last time i pressed the 'home' button. Given that home would usually be google, and google search is the address bar... dont need it.

Thats just me though, guess i have modified my usage to fit the software.

I use a mix of MX Player and Dice player, some files work better on one player or the other and i find dice is a little better for streaming from SMB

    Shooters:
    Dead Trigger
    COD:BOZ
    Grand Theft Auto 3
    Shadowgun
    Deadspace
    Last Stand
    Gun Bros

    RTS:
    Radiant Defense
Tower Raiders (1 and 2... number 3 is out soon)
    Anomaly HD
    Field Runners HD
    Train Crisis HD
    Great Little War Game

    Platform:
    Roboto
    Sonic 4
    Zombieville USA

Racing games dont work for me, drive me nuts, i think its perhaps to do with the latency of the screen. Wreckless Getaway is pretty good though!

There isn't one. You can work round it by navigating to your chosen homepage and adding it as a bookmark by pressing the star icon to the right of the URL.

Then press Menu > Bookmarks, find your chosen homepage and long press until the options pop up, you should see Add to Home Screen as one of them.

You'll be back to complain about the hideous icon too, but there's no getting round that either sadly.

    Where's the bookmarks bar?
There isn't one. Menu > Bookmarks

I've tried Firefox, Dolphin, DolphinHD, stock ICS browser and a few others, but none perform as well as Chrome. I now use it on every device I have.
