First thing to do is install nova launcher (Playstore), Its an improved homescreen launcher that gives you more control over the style and function of the homescreen. It will also allow you to change the icons of apps/folders/shortcuts on a homescreen. To do this you press and hold the shortcut for a little while then let go and a small popup will appear next to the icon allowing you to select 'edit' or 'remove'. Hit edit, then in the dialogue that pops up, press the icon image and it allows you to pick an icon from an image or a theme pack (which you can download from the playstore). For ease of use, i download the MetroStation icon pack (PlayStore) although there is hundreds of icon packs on the web you can download to suit the style you are going for. There is a huge thread full of them here, although i found it difficult to use and some of them were so old they were missing a lot of icons you might need. The Launcher will automatically scale the icon to fit where its going, if it doesn't do it when you change it, go into the nova launcher settings, backup and then restart it.
The text clock at the top is called Minimalistic Text (Playstore), takes a lot of tweaking to get it how you want but the results are quite good.
The 'analogue' clock is actually UCCW. This is a hugely customisable widget app and if you have the time to play around with it you can make some awesome stuff. I just downloaded and installed someone elses hard work from here.
The weather and battery widgets are both part of beautiful widgets (Playstore), i think its a paid app but its totally worth it. There are loads of different skins, styles and sizes available.
I would also recomend an app called Tasks, its fairly new so it doesnt have a lot of downloads but its very simple and straight forward which is exactly what i expect a tasks app to be, unlike a lot of the others i have tried which try and take over your calander and everything. It just syncs up with your google tasks account and off you go! The widget is also spot on
Great - I might not go quiet as all out , but I fancy a bit of a tweak to get my Nexus looking pretty !

Picked up my Nexus 7 yesterday, pretty impressed so far.
One thing that's annoying me is that on the Google Play - My Library widget, none of my album art appears but it loads up fine in the Google Play app. Any idea how to fix this?
EDIT: Think I found the answer at XDA Devs
Main - Intel Core i5 2300 @ 3.5GHz, 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM, Asus P8P67 Pro, Coolermaster iGreen 600w, GTX 480, Antec One Case
I've got one with the flexing screen. Does anyone know if a permanent fix has come about yet?
I have a quick Question!
I have a Nexus 7 with a broken screen (dropped it)...I've been in contact with Asus who offer a paid for repair but can't quote me a price until I ship it off..
Has anyone any idea of Asus repair charges?
If it's too much I'm tempted just to ebay it....as it's only worth the £159
Also anyone know how to factory reset these without the touchscreen?

Well I changed from hotmail to outlook to avoid losing the same name and couldn't get the account to work in the default email client properly, but I found the settings to use it as an exchange account so im all good now.
I can post them if anyone is interested?
Hmm, given asus apparently made a VERY small profit over these devices, i wouldn't be surprised if they tried to recuperate some of that using repairs (along with expensive accessories!). Given you will also have to pay for shipping you might be better off just getting a new one... Hard one to call without any experience, try looking in the xda developer forums perhaps?
