Unlocking a phone from it's carrier?
I've just been handed an old Nokia C5 which is tied to Tmobile and asked to 'unlock it' so it can be used on a different network.
But is that even possible? As I've been searching the web and found some conflicting information that it's either not possible, or you need to 'send it away' to a phone specialist?
Would anyone know for certain

Go to any market near you, there's always someone who'll network unlock for £15 or so. Failing that, T Mobile should give you the unlock code for free if it's more than a year old, and out of contract.

ok cool cheers for the info, and getting someone else to sort it out is always a top solution :D

If you pay more than £15 you are being ripped off!

ebay is good as well. Some people sell unlock codes for a few quid.
