SG2 bricked however I wasn't flashing a ROM
I'd installed an update for the reddit app and within 15 mins of downloading it my phone has frozen and when the battery got put back in it was gone forever. As the phone is less than a year old and I haven't invalidated my warrenty I can contact Samsung to get it replaced right?
great phone but problems just seem to keep cropping up :(
Re: SG2 bricked however I wasn't flashing a ROM
If you haven't rooted or rom'd it then you should just be able to sent it off to them for replacement/repair. A bit of an odd one though, was everything done via the play store?
Re: SG2 bricked however I wasn't flashing a ROM
pull the battery for a few seconds, put it back in and hold volume up + menu button on the front + power button.
keep pressed until the recovery menu appears and use the factory reset option.
reboot and it shuold be the same as new.
assuming it boots into recovery :(
failing that google your local samsung mobile repair center and walk in.
Re: SG2 bricked however I wasn't flashing a ROM
yeah i went through the play store for installing the app and i haven't installed any other roms or rooted it for this very reason!
the phone is hard bricked (think that's the term) and i cannot bring up the recovery menu nor the other one (download?)
thanks for the help, fingers crossed i won't lose everything on it
