Mobile phone to home wireless phones
Hello:
I have an iPhone 4S and Panasonic Expandable Digital Cordless Phones (1 base and 6 handsets), model No. KX-TG9382 (2 lines). I want to get rid of my VoIP (Vonage), and try to connect my mobile phone to the wireless home phone system. I am pretty sure that my home phone system is not Bluetooth-ready for connection to a mobile phone, so it seems that the only ways would be
a) to have some kind of Bluetooth device that connects to the home phone base by cable and to the mobile phone by Bluetooth, or
b) to connect the home phone base to my computer and then to the mobile phone via the home wireless network on the computer (the mobile phone connects to the home network on the computer for data when the mobile phone is in the house).
I live in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, and while that may make a difference in details, I am actually interested in whether the two approaches I have outlined above, or any other approach, are viable.
Thank you!
Hans L

Are you trying to use your mobile as an additional handset? If your phone system is DECT, that is different from both wi-fi and bluetooth.
Re: Mobile phone to home wireless phones
Hello Peter:
No, I am ditching my land line (VoIP) and will use my wireless house phones just to answer calls doming in on my cellphone (it is not practical to carry the cell phone around in the house).
I found this, and will probably buy the XLink (although, there are others, as you can see):

Don't know if you have any experience with this setup, but is looks as if it should work.
Best regards,
