EDIT:
I have gone for the New Trent IMP70D (7000mAh, £25, 1x2A usb, 1x1A usb)
The 70D at 190g is only 50% heavier than my One X, slim, and is chargable via micro usb. This is a big bonus to me over the IMP120D which does have a larger capacity but is a lot heavier at 289g and can only be charged with the ac adapter. As this is a portable product I like the versatility of the 70D.
I also bought this so I can bring pendrives with me to work around the no-sd card policy of HTC One X:

Considering the key metrics to test value:
1. mAh true to advertising hype?
2. what Amps does the usb port provide (1A, 2A?) - how quickly can I charge my phone (and for you apple users, can I charge my ipad?)
3. How quickly can you fully juice up the portable battery?
4. Do the wall adapter versions come with USB recharge cables for the battery pack? (doesnt seem so - just a wall charger, though the times where you have access to a powered usb port but not a power socket are rare...)
And finally of use, camelcamelcamel for price history in amazon.
There are cheaper alternatives if you like carrying batteries:

I like the look of the New Trent 12000 mAh charger, review suggests it is robust with good build quality, not too heavy, and doesn't look like it was built in someone's garage by a 5 year old. Also fairly good value on camelcamelcamel.
Tecknet and New Trent seem to use the same manufacturer:
