im as chilled as one could be. i understand how that could've been misinterpreted. that's fine. i was just saying that i'm not an idiot to think samsung would sell me counterfeit versions of their own products. that was definitely a bit of subtle trolling there and i knew it as soon as i read it. well played admin lol...

did you find the serial number on the back didn't match the one in the about phone section ?
if thats your worry then it's totally normalthe software one is generated from hardware ID's like a mac addy or USB ID and unrelated to the sticker on the phone/box.
the latest S2 4.0.4 update broke the serial number in about phone!

Well I have since checked and the serial number on the sticker matches the one that i found in the "about phone" menu. I didn't doubt the phone itself was legit. I just like to check things like this when I buy electronics to make sure there's nothing dodgey about it. Was hoping there would be some kind of check tool on the Samsung site just to confirm it. I'm not worried now anyways after using the phone. It seems all good
Thanks for all the replies!
