Nice price on the 4, but enough to tempt me to Android?...not so sure!
Only 16Gb though?...
Starting to regret the One X now![]()
Guess i'm just a little cheesed off at having a fairly expensive contract for two years on a device that takes so long to get updates. There are things in 4.2 that I would really like and there is no sign of 4.1 yet (supposed to be at the end of the month, HTC have two days!)
I'd think you'll make about £20 by doing that, S3's are going for about £300-£320 atm if in good condition, sold privately.
May get the 16Gb off contract as a replacement to my LG O2X but 8Gb & no mem card slot....can't see that selling well no matter how cheap it is.
Keep in mind though that this will undoubtedly lower other models second hand prices now. I mean a brand new phone, with warranty for this sort of cash? I'd not risk second hand with a price like this!
I know, sell all your phones now!
Does nobody mind the fact that there is no MicroSD slot?
Don't get me wrong, the spec sounds rather tasty and there's no guarantee that a person will use all of the internal storage anyway, but if I was interested in getting a new phone, I would prefer to have a MicroSD slot to be safe in the knowledge that the option is there to add additional storage just in case it is ever needed.
If you want regular software updates I wouldn't get your hopes up for the N4 - the O2X still hasn't updated from 2.3! LG aren't exactly known for their great software support...
I dunno, I guess it depends on how much of that 8GB is available for storage. I now plenty of people who are happy with pretty much no storage and a 2GB microSD. It'd be interesting to know how many people actually buy storage upgrades for their phones, and how many just stick with whatever came in the box.
Im sure i said this before on another thread :/
Google do the software updates for nexus products, not LG. Nexus get stock android so you dont need to wait for them to make the daft LG skins to be prepared.
The only Nexus phone to not receive further updates is the original one from the beginning of 2010. No mention of the Nexus S getting 4.2... but its early days yet
