    Windows Phone 8 'Launch' Coverage

Well, the facts are its not in Blighty until the 9th of November.

The 920 is £20 + contract on EE, this compares to say £30 for a Galaxy S3 or nothing for an 820. Or your first born for an iPhone.

Engadget have spent some time it appears with the 8X, but pan it for not been Andriod..... However if that's their only complaint and the reviewer is really missing the point of being a reviewer, that probably bodes well:

Apparently the 8x will be dirt cheap on 3, with a good data plan.

Re: Windows Phone 8 'Launch' Coverage

I skimmed the WP8 coverage from Engadget, and some of the features of the OS do sound pretty good.

We are looking at getting an xbox for the family for Christmas, and having my phone tie into that and a possible laptop/tablet hybrid with W8 is very appealing.

I also really like the look of the Lumia handsets and WP8 itself.

A lot of the coverage is wrong thou, their launch days and prices for instance are mostly incorrect.

Engadget really has gone downhill since the split to the verge.

The issue I see is price, Nexus 4 LG thingie has thrown down.

I wonder if we'll see the death of the high priced phone (finally!).

Not looked at pricing or release dates.

Not actually in the market for a new phone, if I was it would be the Nexus 4 without a doubt.

It is possible. Google have just proved you are have a desirable handset with a great specification for a reasonable price. I might even puch my wife towards this is Orange take it up instead of the S3.

Re: Windows Phone 8 'Launch' Coverage

Well funny you say that, a college has just borrowed my old Omnia7, this is a single core 800mhz device.

First comment was "this feels fast", normal phone is a Galaxy S2, a dual core 1.2ghz. My point is a phone which is about £120 at most, they felt snappier than a £200 one.

I think the price point is too high at the moment and really hope to see most phones down at £200!
