That's my productivity gone south for a day or two! Perhaps this will drive me back to the o2x from my nice simple Nokia that's been doing sterling work the last few months!

Re: CyanogenMod 10 (Jellybean) Out Now For LG O2X!

Yeah was on it yesterday waiting for it to upload, bloody awesome! Seriously this phone has now gone from tolerable/OK for the price.... to AMAZING, super flipping fast and from what I have experienced I would be inclined to say its faster than my mates SGS 3! Havent compared it to actual gaming but for using it as a phone and mobile browser god its flawless, RC has really made an effort .

I believe I will be sticking with this phone for as long as I can now, ill wait for the Nexus 6 to come out and ill be ready to upgrade haha.

And yeah jim I was about to do work when it landed then saw it and dropped everything, glad I did as the difference is more than night and day .

Oh just a few simple tips
    1. Change your baseband, cm10 is based on V30A (the SU660 Korean model) so download this baseband --> http://goo.im/devs/tonyp/P990-stuff/...SU660-Baseband
(very simple guide to using smartflash here http://www.modaco.com/topic/335494-1...-v20l-version/ )
    2. If coming from cm7+ you shouldnt have an issue but personally I went to CWM and wiped everything then installed it without issue
    3. If you want to try the new Nexus 4 keyboard go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1964663 get the flashable zip and install via CWM, remember to delete the stock android keyboard first, I used titanium backup to get rid of mine.

Wifi kills my battery, however apart from that battery life appears to be similar to cm7 if not better so looking good.

    Sure you installed them?

Just try reflashing the zip, I tend to just flash the ROM then boot up let it setup then reboot into CWM and flash gapps.

Re: CyanogenMod 10 (Jellybean) Out Now For LG O2X!

Very odd indeed, would suggest just redownloading cm10 cleaning the phone and start again cause I cant think of a reason why it wont work.

Well after a using it for over a day im very impressed as it seems to hold the speed, havent noticed any real slow downs yet everything just works haha. Considering this is version 1 for the p990 its really good, I only had 1 issue where it was stuck vibrating for no reason so took the battery out but havent encountered it since.

Re: CyanogenMod 10 (Jellybean) Out Now For LG O2X!

Did you guys install clockworkmod from the modaco thread, or is there a preferred version for CM10?

EDIT: Or should I shell out the 99p for Paul O'Brien's o2x app on play?

Re: CyanogenMod 10 (Jellybean) Out Now For LG O2X!

install cwm version 5.0.2.x from rom manager (via the play store), most reliable version and iirc pauls had issues with custom roms other than his own so cm is out of the question.

CM10 seems quite good now for me, reliable and not to bad overall but i see tonyp has released the ICS stock version now and I will be trying that out tonight http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1959545

    Will report back tomorrow.

Re: CyanogenMod 10 (Jellybean) Out Now For LG O2X!

So I after a few wipes I finally got gapps to install correctly and am now running the latest nightly as we speak (06-11-12). Gotta say I'm really liking CM10 for the O2X, it's fast and stable and shows off how well designed this phone was when it was released. Shame LG balls up the software so badly.

Now the question is when/if will LG release official ICS for it?

Well Su660 has official ICS atm and people have noticed that LG have uploaded a new baseband for the P990, looks as if they are gearing up for releasing ICS soon, I saw a few articles that stated decemeber so either late November or early December in my opinion as its already being uploaded partially .

Re: CyanogenMod 10 (Jellybean) Out Now For LG O2X!

    Thread necro!

While I was looking at this thread back in November I noticed a number of issues had been reported so I decided to leave it, then news stories started filtering out about the official o2x ICS being available. Got an update in Feb but it turned out to be an incremental improvement to GB, and today I finally got sick of waiting for OTA updates, downloaded the desktop software, and it's currently downloading the official o2x ICS ROM

Will report back on the quality (or lack thereof) once the update's complete!

Re: CyanogenMod 10 (Jellybean) Out Now For LG O2X!

IIRC I installed official ICS rom and quite liked it, by that time though I'd got my Nexus 4 and so needed to sell the phone to recoup some cash. Off to Asda Tech Trade-In it went complete with ICS rom.

Re: CyanogenMod 10 (Jellybean) Out Now For LG O2X!

Yeah, it seems to perform nicely and I think battery life has improved too. That said, it appeared to shut itself down randomly last night (when I turned it back on this morning it had > 50% battery left) so there may be a few teething troubles. Might do a factory restore to clear all my apps & settings and start fresh...
