    S2 blacking out

Hasanybody else had a problem with their S2 just locking up on a black screen and the only way to clear it is to remove the battery and re-boot? Seems to be getting more and more at the moment (couple of times a day).

probably a bad app, have you done a full factory reset ?

of course not, its a full factory reset

google play stores paid apps so you can redownload them. it also stores all your google contacts.

backup your sd cards and format those after the reset.

Are you running a custom rom? I didn't have this problem until I had rooted the phone. I find that the problem only appears with particular roms.

Backup using Titanium and then do a factory reset.. It is advisable to install the apps you have fresh from the Play Store that should take care of any issues.

    Re: S2 blacking out

Mine used to do this, and often when turning it back on the battery had dropped almost all it's charge, factory reset helped but in the end I got a new battery and it's been much better behaved.

    Re: S2 blacking out

If your running a micro SD I would first try pulling everything off (save to desktop), reformating the card, then trying the card for a couple of day before putting the removed data back on.

If you do decide to do a factory reset I would try running the Samsung kies pc software on the handset first you should be able to repair it via pc, without losing data.
