Using android phone as alarm clock

Hi there,

my HTC One X has an alarm clock style screen which is low light but stays on all night. I've never bothered with it because I am worried about leaving my screen on for such a long time. My concern relates to screen burn which I don't even know is relevant any more.

So, is it safe to do so, without having to worry about knackering my screen?

You could always just download an alarm clock app which works differently. I use Alarm Clock Xtreme Free.

Yeah get a simple alarm clock on the market, anything low in size and high in ratings. You want it to avoid using a lot of power.

I use my Samsung as an alarm (built in), it works fine if I put into standby mode.

I used to use my one X as an alarm but I always switched the screen off

If you get a phone dock then they usually open up the docking mode option which should allow you to have the screen on low power with the clock showing. used to do it on my old Desire HD

i don't put mobile beside me, as alarm clock is not for you sleeping.
