    Motorola A925

    Motorola A925

"The most powerful PDA video mobile available in the Motorola range,
now with an improved look and increased functionality. The latest in
high-resolution touch-screen allowing you to play your videos back
    in wide-screen."

This does look like a very nice phone / PDA. I need a new phone and would love a PDA, but if I could have two in one it would be great. I'm not sure what you guys think, but I like it. It is a hefty £199 on contract with 3. I'm not sure how good they are either but any info is helpful.

    Welcome to Hexus.

In terms of features, it's a very nice phone. It's got all of the bells and whistles (3G, touchscreen, video/still camera, mp3 playback, removable memory, etc).

What lets the phone down is the size and the design (it's very much a brick of a phone). Also, Motorola have decided to use their own hand writing recognition software instead of the default UIQ implimentation and, to be honest, it's no-where near as good.

If 3G isn't a deciding factor for you, then my money would go to the SonyEricsson P910i. It's a superb PDA/phone and has only just been released, so it's bang up to date (minus 3G and a megapixel camera). It's also got superb battery life - a massive 16 hours of talktime alone!

    It's available for £199 with a £30 per month contract on 02.

The last thing that you might consider is waiting for the Motorola A1000. It's basically an updated A925 and it looks much nicer. Very sexy.

I have no idea when it's going to be released though.

Owning a P900 myself I'd say get one or look at the XDA2 from O2 (Orange also does a version and T-mobile has a version coming soon with integrated wifi). The P900 is a phone with PDA functions whereas the XDA is a PDA with phone functions.

I had an a920 and hated it, but that may well have been 3's appauling service.

I have an SPV M1000 ( Orange version of XDA 2) which is 10 times better - actually does what I want it to do
