    new Nokia "bouncy phone"

I have a 5210e with the snap on off case...and while its basic, it is a SUPERB phone/

I have dropped it, kicked it, stood on it, rinsed it off, and its perfect..unscathed/

So does anyone know how good the new one is? Its got a camera and a thermometer and a compass built in and I WANT ONE

But I wont buy it unless I know it is bullet proof both physically and in software terms.

    I once had a Siemens SL45.

Horrible thing....superb to talk on, but dreadfull menu's and it kept locking up and needed re booting. So I'm cautious now.

    Any thoughts guys?

    cheers

The new one is the 5410, IIRC. 5XXX generally means a "sports" phone, in Nokia's complex numbering scheme.

I have no idea how good it is though.

    thats it......5410

nice huh? Just gotta find out IF its OK or if its giving grief.

Will be on Orange again. Wanna keep my number and hopefully the £25 per month tariff that gives me 100 text 100 mins to any network that I'm on at the mo.

(ie its an O2 tariff that Orange matched)

any chance of that or am I dreaming? With a free phone

If you're already on Orange and are upgrading, then you may have to pay for the phone though Orange may give you a discount based on how long you've been with them and how much you spend a month. If you're swapping networks, then you shouldn't have a problem getting the phone for free.

I hear that Orange will match pretty much any (non-3) tariff if you ask them nicely. I'm currently on 02's Online 100 tariff which is £25 pm for 100 anytime, any network minutes, 500 texts (or 125 MMSs) and 0.5MB of GPRS (which they seem to have bogged up, since I've used it quite a bit and they've yet to charge me). You might want to see if they'll match that?

    That's a nice phone.

I have a 5210 too and it's been great. Wouldn't mind a new phone but I really don't need one. This one makes calls and sends texts which is all I need

    Howard....my thoughts PRECISELY.

Except that a digi camera would be immensley usefull....

and sad as it may seem, my old digi watch (now dead) had a compass built in and I used it a lot in Yorkshire while walking.

So maybe a new mobile is imminent
