500 included on the contract, normally send about that many I find MMS eats into my MMS allowance quite heavily!

I hardly ever send texts, becase my old phone (sagem rc815+) was a pita,. as I had to remember the number and not select it form contact list.. that was about 5/month

Now I have a 7600 so Ill be sending a lot more. How does one count them on 7600's?

Im on o2 PAYG (the free sim one) so I can have 300 month free. How do I find out how many free texts Ive got left?

You can't tell how many you've got left. Thats why some people reset their counters when they get their free texts back. I don't though. When they run out, they run out. Sent 1504 texts now.

As I said before, i have to pay for all the non free texts so it gets quite expensive Wish I could have a contract....

Question for o2 payg users, how long does credit/free texts last, i.e can it be carried over to the next month?

on average i send about one a day, usually to other virgin mobile phones, so it's only 3p/text.
you can also get bundles, so texting other networks (normally 10p/text but with the bundle ~7p/text) is cheaper, but any texts you send to virgin mobiles are taken out of your bundle amount, so you end up paying more.

Your free texts aren't carried over to the next month I don't think.
I would defo go to a contract (Orange with 50min and 1000texts specially for students for 15 quid a month iirc) if I was old enough to

Is that not the trouble with bundles?

If you don't use them all, you're paying something you haven't used.

If you go over the top you pay a lot extra.

I like to pay a cheap rate for exactly what I use.

Itemised bill, direct debit each month, easy.

Mind, I only do about 20 texts a month and talk little.
