i love my 6230, the video quality and picture quality are not an issue for me as i dont dooo video and i have a digital camera for proper pictures and i dont care about quality for fun pictures. Besides the quality isn't that bad. I develop games for mobiles and i can tell you that the 6230 is one of the better, faster, smoother devices. The mp3 player rocks and it comes with some very good clear meaty bass headphones.

6600 sucks sucks sucks and sucks some more believe me. They are my worst case scenario testing platform for MIDP2. Avoid

the 6600 has a good camera, so cant be that bad, has bluetooth, zoom, video, etc


is the 6230 really that bad ? i used to have a 7250i, and i imagined it was similar just upgraded, and the camera on that was sufficiant

I got a 6600 on contract myself, stuck with it for another year.. great phone, despite the advancements made on it by the 7610 etc.
Serves me great, fantastic range of software and not too heavy, cam is good too, but not as good as the newer megapixel phones obviously.
I vote the 6600, only niggles are 1 loudspeaker (mono) and lag when first accessing the menu.

the 6600 is fat and slow compared to the newer phones - it was magnificent when it first came out. There are serious issues with the java implementation on it as it was the first to support MIDP2, i s'pose it would be fine if you didnt play java games or use java applications.

6600 and 6230 are the only series 60 devices to support the java bluetooth API if you plan on playing games with that.

wait for the 6670 imo.

the camera on the 6230 is better than the non mega pixel ones on motorollas, slighty fuzzy picture like youve gone over it with a light anti-aliasing brush in photoshop.

The problem with the 6260 is that the camera is down the side, meaning that the lens is tiny.

It cools kinda cool when you're taking a picture but it's not very practical.

The 6670 should have an very good camera though, if the 7610 is anything to go by.
