Vodafone Broadband not work on Win XP

Have a problem with Vodem . It keep saying can't be connect. another application running ,
I tried so many about uninstall driver and reinstall again, or download a driver from Vodafone or install on different machine, and it doesn't make any different. Has anyone got a problem like this before?

Update today:
I just find out I can't use the software from vodem to connect it but I have to create a connection instead, but still not working it 's said error '619....... blah blah.... '
this is what I put in setting username : web , password : web , dial No. : *99# or I did try this as well
*99***1# not work either, Now it' s make crazy, feel like I want to give up now. I hope somebody can help me here. Thank you

I don't know if "vodem" is the term they use for a 3G USB dongle, but when I tried getting my built-in 3G modem in my laptop working with Vodafone, I needed to add some initialisation string to the dial-up connection for it to work...
I can dig it out - let me know.

I use it on my Win7 laptop with both a dongle and the built in modem without any problems.

I did put that in initialisation string but not are they the right one or not but if you could please find it for me for the right one that would be great!

I have no luck with this, So I have end it up with use with windows 7.
