BBM An Android?
Hi,
What do you think/was the point in RIM Blackberry putting the BBM service on Android phones? Yes I know android in general has better phones and a hell of a lot more users but why do they think we need it? When you have Android you either learn to text or use a 3rd party app such as snapchat or whatsapp maybe even Skype. Also is this coming to be like a blackberry were you have to pay £5 a month to actually use it?

Many Thanks,

Re: BBM An Android?
IMO RIM is on a sinking ship and they're doing a cash grab from non-users to either tide them over to better days, or to get one last pay cheque before they go under.
I uninstalled Fring / WhatsApp / Viber / Skype / Kik as my friends already have a dozen ways to get hold of me as is.
The only real; advantage I can see to BBM on Android is that a lot of younger people use it, so if you are chasing tail and don't have a BlackBerry, at least you can still contact them hehe.

Re: BBM An Android?
Nah. Luckily none of my mates were part of the BB crowd so I have no reason to be on it.
I think its a stupid idea for BB to do this. I know LOADS of people that the only reason they 'like' blackberrys (when I say like I mean own/tolerate) is because their circle of friends use BBM. Move BBM off to other devices and you move the cool kidz onto other devices.

Yes cool kids love blackberrys for some reason then it turnes to the iPhone when will they see sense and go for Android...

Re: BBM An Android?
RIM is not exactly a manufacturer any more, more like a software services provider imo.

Did anyone install for Android? What do you think, can it take on whatsapp?

Re: BBM An Android?
i came from blackberry and actually hated BBM. i tried it on my Note 3 and took it out straight away. no good to me as 2 people i know use BBM, 27 of the people i know use whatsapp.
a no brainer really.
RIP RIM.
