    Strange phone blocking thing

I'm at my wits end with a problem my youngest kid bought to me.

She's recently moved her Virgin Mobile SIM from an HTC 8S (Window Phone 8) to Samsung Galaxy S3 (Android), but since doing so she can't phone or text one of her friends who's got an iPhone on Vodafone. But that friend can call and text her.

She's tried phoning another Vodafone mobile and that works, and I've managed to use my phone (also on Virgin) to phone her friends one. But when I got her to try phoning her pal the call went straight through to voicemail.

Anyone got any idea what's wrong?

(I could try Virgin's support, but they'll probably just claim it's a Voda issue!)

Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...

Her friend isn't playing silly Bs and rejecting the call is she? Might be worth the friend checking that your daughter's number hasn't been blocked by Vodafone in error.

Don't you need to get the carrier to send you a setup text to get the APNs working? Odd stuff happens if that isn't set up. Check for a text message from Virgin with instructions that she wouldn't have understood and so ignored

In IOS7 you can block caller/messages, maybe her friend has accidently or deliberately blocked her.
