    Nexus 4: 16GB enough?

I might be getting a N4 soon, but I'm not sure whether the 12.x usable storage is gonna be a pain when my current 32gb SD card has only 3gb free on it.
Has anyone had any problems being restricted to 13GB?

    Re: Nexus 4: 16GB enough?

It is limiting but I'm getting used to it. I had a 32gb SD in my old phone. I just keep less music on there.

    Re: Nexus 4: 16GB enough?

Depends on your usage if you are using the handset as a media player, I.e loading and storing films, music and games. Traveling long distants, be in area of low data coverage or have a low data plan, then 13gb will be a nightmare. If on the other hand your going to use your handset to complement other pieces of hardware (I.e store file on a computer and/or hard drive and just transferring file as you need them) then you will be fine. Or just get a OTG cable and carry a 64 GB memory stick.

I have the 32gb Nexus 7 and the only time I used to get close to filling it is when I was going on a trip and needed to stick some TV Shows / Movies on there but then I went out and got one of these: http://www.meenova.com/ and a 64GB MicroSD for Media Consumption

doesn't work with the nexus4 though. Shame, would have got one if it did.

    Re: Nexus 4: 16GB enough?

Ah the Nexus 4 doesn't support USB-OTG so most (if not all?) expandable external storage options are out I guess For a phone I find 16gb fine but then I have the tab for media.

    Re: Nexus 4: 16GB enough?

Google's music apps helps a LOT with storage. If you have too much to fit on the internal you can stream all your music from the cloud.

until you're on the tube, on an airplane, in a car in the hills, or staying somewhere on holiday when...... you have no music. Yay.

Haha yeah that is a problem. I tend to keep my favourite music on my device, about 7GB worth, and everything else I stream.

    Re: Nexus 4: 16GB enough?

You can always use a super small microsd card reader for those times when you really need that additional storage -- I can only imagine going over 16GB if putting lots of music/movies or games on the device, not your everyday apps. Check out the mini card reader: http://www.meenova.com/st/p/m3r.html

    Re: Nexus 4: 16GB enough?

Problem: Nexus 4 doesn't have USB OTG.
    Solution: Get a Nexus 5?

The Nexus 4 will be depreciated by Google soon (Maybe next year) with the likely release of the Nexus 5's successor later on this year. Why buy a device more than halfway through it's lifespan?

Whoops sorry I didn't see the date. :L That and I assumed it being on the first page of the forum that it would be relatively recent.
