    broken ipaq

somehow i managed to ruin the screen on my ipaq 1940 this morning when i was in a hurry (damn rushing in the morning while half awake). anyone got any suggestions for a place that fixes this kind of problem?

i heard you can swap the screen too? so anyone with a 1940 wich has a good screen but is otherwise broken and sat doing nothing, fancy selling it to me?

Just go to the hp site and check your warantee status. If its in then hp's repair service is fantastic, they pick it up by ups and usually deliver it back in 48-72 hrs. Great.

Angry Ipaq can't be fixed for cheap

Guys if you do a google search, you will simply see that a lot of people have problems with their ipaqs. The screens are just bad. I sent mine to HP, they said that in order to fix it, it would cost me $200 plus tax. This is nuts. The unit brand new is $299. Stay away from this product.

just heard from HP after 3 weeks!! the screen is not under warranty?! they want £120 + vat to fix it, so i'm writing a letter of complaint as this seems a little odd, may get nowhere, but worth a try

Thats strange, all parts and labour should be under the warranty unless it states otherwise?
