Nokia Lumia 920 - Worth it?

    Hi,

My HTC Desire HD is showing its age and I am due an upgrade. The main issues I have with the desire HD is the really poor camera, I am thinking of getting a 920 to replace it. Does anyone here have one? What do you think?

My other half has one, she really likes it. It's her second Windows Phone so she already liked the OS. The Lumia 920 is a bit big and heavy for my liking, she doesn't mind. The camera is excellent.

My girlfriend has the 520, and that's build very solid! sleek and very quick too. Windows 8 is built extremely nice.

Got to be honest the OS makes Android look chunky I'd go for it

What about a Nokia 925, sleeker looking and not so weighty but still excellent camera.

Re: Nokia Lumia 920 - Worth it?

You can get a Lumia 920 for under £230 if you want to go the sim-free route on Amazon here:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_...a+%2Caps%2C244

Lumia 925 is going for under £300 on Amazon too. If you get a warranty issue though, I think you have to contact Nokia and not Amazon.

the 925 is a bit expensive for me to be honest. I think tesco direct are doing it for £230 as well

The 920 does indeed have OIS, no idea what he is talking about.

Re: Nokia Lumia 920 - Worth it?

Not interested in the Nexus 5?

I must admit I rather like the look of the Motorola Moto G. Mum needs a new phone and the 16gb one seems to fit the bill quite nicely?

Re: Nokia Lumia 920 - Worth it?

Nexus 5? Not really. Not a big fan of Android tbh, my nexus 7 n s3 has meant I'll never use an Android as my primary phone.

However I did get a 1020 to replace it. Appart from needing the backleach for wireless charging, really like it so far.

Re: Nokia Lumia 920 - Worth it?

I'm another 1020 user and have just added wireless case and Qi charger (DT-910) which I think it awesome. I would love to get a 1320 or maybe 1520 when thye come out, I find the 1020 a bit small and want a 6 inch screen, but I probably won't bother upgrading when I can. In my opinion the Windows 8 OS is awesome and I really like it, more than than the three iPhones and Asus PadFone 2 that I've previously owned.
