http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/3567.htm K700i is £220 there, and I'm sure i've seen it as cheap as £209 iirc somewhere. If not theres second hand, I sold mine for £160 about a month ago and it was in mint condition.

hmm the Z600 is chunky, as are all the moto phones

all of those will bulge out of your pokets..especially if you ever wear jeans. Ok so thats really a generic problem with clamshells, and if you dont mind it then go for a moto V3.

the only thing clamshells that I know of are either V.expensive [in the 3-400 range] or are samsungs. My old e710 wasnt that big really and was smaller than all the motos/SE's

unless you have a real use for bluetooth [such as using it with a PDA] is it really worth it? all it does is suck up the battery life imho ;/

nokia 6230 is always a nice phone to get if you decided to come back to the nice small world of no flip tho

Have you ordered the oversize baggy jeans to fit the booger in the pockets yet? Nice phone granted, but so could have done with being E700 sized or smaller.

Am interested in getting a z600, can you give me a review after you have used it a while? I am after a clam with bluetooth (pda sync) and a reasonable camera. Have used one phone with a totally arse camera so am a bit worried about quality on some phones.

£100 or lower. Was originally looking at 7650's as they tend to cost around £70, but they are all getting on a bit now. I currently have an ngage and find the UI a bit cumbersome, so was thinking of changing make. Do like the UI on the 7250i.

Bluetooth and camera are a must, like clam I tend to wear jackets with big map pockets so a little bulk aint too bad.

the camera is only 3something x 1something, so it's not really for transferring proper photos to pc.

actually, say what you like about them, but carphone warehouse have a little booklet with sample camera output from all the camphones they sell

I'm strongly considering the Z600 now. My mate has an old Vodafone/Sharp clamshell phone that's about the same dimensions and I had a play, had it in my pockets, etc and it's fine. I don't like phones that are too small and fiddly anyway.

Clamshells I really like, and bluetooth for my PDA would be cool

i've not had a chance to play with any bluetooth features yet (pda & dongle should arrive today), but i can begin to comment on it as a phone.

firstly, it's pretty big. take an old samsung t100, make it 1cm thicker, that's about right. not a massive problem, means i can now actually feel vibrate alerts whilst walking, but still, it's big

next, the camera is a slight disappointment. i'll need to wait until i can transfer pictures to my pc, but 288*352 seems to be selling short a very easy to use & good-looking camera. maybe that's just me though, and i think only nokia have a camera phone over 1mpixel.

the software rocks. the menus are simply intuitive, it's easy to navigate, and even the wap browser doesn't suck - a nice default search engine of google, proper integration with different phone sections (e.g. 'more themes' in the theme selection bit sends you to SE's theme download page). best phone interface i've used.

the buttons are above average, but not fantastic. the keypad keys are a little bit small for my thumb mashing, though i'm quickly getting used to it. the navigationney arrowy thing, on the other hand, is below average - up and down are fine, but the center 'click' button is too large horizontally, and you can accidentally press it when you want to press left or right.

one last note, the screen. oooooh, the screen. best screen i've ever used on a mobile. bright, lots of vibrant colors, very fast & responsive output (i'm used to the 3 frames a second of my old t100).

can't comment on battery life yet, especially as i spent a fair while playing the bundled v-rally.

I'm glad you are happy with it.
Couple of pointers being new to SE.

Firstly get yourself a copy of Floats Mobile Agent, teamed up with a usb bluetooth adapter I am able to text from my PC and loads of other handy stuff.

Esato.com has huge forums dedicated to everything SE usually anything t610/t630 will also work for your z600.

Deviantart.com has loads of themes often of very high quality (generally theme sections can be very poor)

The charge anywhere kit for Ericsson by Expansys is great http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=EXP_MOBUSB2
I can charge in my car, from my pc or worldwide.

Also I picked up an old Ericsson charging stand for a £5 from a bargain bucket in Phones4U (shudder). More of a gunmetal than the SE silver so matches my desktop better.

p.s. note to self, learn to type without multiple edits.
