    Asian/Chineese/English phones

Is there any difference between Asian/Chineese/English phones other than the fact that the first 2 can do both english and chineese etc?

I mean feature wise. As places like expansys.co.uk sell both versions at different prices; wasnt sure if it meant anything important

That's a tricky question. I know that mainland china uses the same GSM bands that Europe does (900/1800/1900Mhz) so the phone will definately work, at the very least.

I assume that the chinese version just has added language support. It could have other changes, but I don't know to be honest.

Avoid phones from South Korea though. They use CDMA instead of GSM and won't be compatible with UK networks.

The only difference will be support for both languages and you'll get tiny Chinese characters on or below the keys.

No difference at all except you with Asian phones you get the Asian language pack (Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, etc), whilst the phones over here will have the European launguage pack (English, German, French, etc).
