If you're not in the market for a smartphone, then the two main contenders at the moment seem to be the Nokia 6230 and SonyEricsson K700i. Both do everything and both are excellent phones.

It also comes down to which one you prefer the look of and which UI you prefer really.

Sony Ericsson K700i, good camera, bluetooth, mp3, radio, nicely customisable themes, lovely phone I say. Bigger screen than the nokia and (I think) a better UI.

Camera and Video are a bit better on my mates K700i over my Nokia 6230...however he can't compete with my expandable memory slot. He can get about 3 or 4 MP'3 on his phone with its non-upgradeable memory...on the other hand I have a 256MB MMC card in mind and get several albums among other things on the phone.

The 6230 can have varying colour Menu's but not changeable themes [AFAIK] and I am sat quite happy having this phone more than the K700i.

It also has the Radio and Bluetooth.

If you look inside a K700i there is space where a MS slot would go, so they might in the future bring out a K710i with expandable memory.

K700i has both BT and Radio too.

Most Carphonewarehouse store will have the P910 instock - Mad phones they are, mate has the P900 and I can believe how much it can do. Just a little too big for me else Id have one.

I would love a p900/910 or even a p800. I would not go with a 6230 because of the screen size. I just find it too small compared to my t630 which are both externally the same size.

Only thing the 6230 has over the K700i is the expandable memory.

p910 is a good phone, with 63 Mb internal memory, better LCD resolution and that flip you either love it or hate it as to some people its very plasticy where others said its an "ingenious" idea. I personally HATE the flip - gah screw the keyboard give my my stylus and lemme write the messages

Ringtone wise - yip its loud and has great SMS/MMS/Email options.

Not a bad phone, I would recommend it to people if they do not have a P900, but if you've a P900 then its a good choice if you require more memory internally and MS Pro support

    K700i > 6230

I don't like Nokias. They all seem the same with a new design :S

And I find the screen on the 6230 to be tiny. I actually prefer my T630
