    Tablet Advice

So in the past I have insulted tablets to a fair degree, however with university rapidly approaching, I could use some form of portable computer. Seen as I shall be taking my main machine with me a; a laptop comes across as unnecessary. Hence the conclusion that maybe a tablet would be best for me. However in the world of tablet computing I am very lost and could use some guidance.
Which is why I am here......
However I'm quite fussy and would like for it to include several features if its possible:
    1) Preferably it should have an attachable keyboard, as it is primarily going to be used for writing up work.
    2) I quite like android, but am open to other operating systems (SO LONG AS ITS NOT APPLE!)
    3) Also quite Ideal if it doesn't cost all to much? maybe?

This might all me allot to ask for and about but would really appreciate any responses, thanks

I would consider an iPad if its accessories you want. But the best tablet for me is the Sony Xperia Z Tablet

Seems okay, little costly and lack a keyboard, but it would match my phone and ant the end of the day, what else matters?
But in all seriousness, seems okay but not really what I'm looking for I'm affraid

You could always buy a Bluetooth keyboard, or if you bought a nexus 7 you could get a case with a keyboard built in, they may also be available for other tablets as well.

With Nexus you are guaranteed the latest Android versions. Sony are at 4.3 ATM. That said the sony is very light and waterproof. Good for round the pool or side of bath! Also the Sony has an SD slot for 64GB extra RAM. A massive cost with iPad and not available on any nexus.
There are some good keyboards with integrated cases if you look around. Most are bluetooth enabled and are not actually wired to the device.

Nexus is a nice price but the screen seems a little small for long duration use and essay writing but i could be a plan

I was more thinking like the official built in keyboard like on the older Asus tablets

The Archos 101 XS 2 has a built in keyboard. If you find one at a good price and don't mind Archos quality control standards it might be what you need.

Quite like that Archos 101 XS 2, especially as it comes with an office suite and isn't too expensive
    Still up for suggestions though

A Hudl plus the keyboard advice from, here: http://androidforums.com/tesco-hudl/...esco-hudl.html

I don't use a keyboard with my tablets but the Hudl is great for the price (esp with the vouchers)
