Transferring Pictures From P&S to Smartphone

I was thinking of buying a small budget camera to go with a smartphone.

If the phone doesn't have nfc (say Moto G), how would you send the pics over wireless to it from the camera. The camera has NFC/Wifi built in.

Depends if the camera or smart phone have network accessible folders. If not, you'll have to go Camera->network store/PC->phone. Some of which could be automated.

what about a USB OTG cable http://www.greenbot.com/article/2155...id-device.html

plug the storage card from the P&S into the OTG cable (Using the correct adaptor from SD to USB for instance ) and boom.

might work ok.
