    Samsung Galaxy Alpha - bent

    Hi guys

Got my wife a new phone 3 weeks ago, she was in hospital when I got it for her,. and since coming out she hasn't left the house really as she is getting over an operation. (she has been off work - only went to the doctors to get checked by the nurse/doctor twice). She has never put this in her trouser pockets, 99% of the time its been either on the table at home and maybe in her bag 5% of the time and 5% in her front pouch/pocket on her jacket.

anyways her new galaxy alpha phone has done this... cannot wait to discuss this with the three shop tomorrow where I bought it from

Will be interesting to see what they say about it.

Apple had bigger issues as there is loads of evidence that the new iPhone plus bend easily. Not heard much about the new galaxy alpha bending though.

I would call it a manufacturing issue and not the owners fault as they shouldn't design and sell a device that bends so easily.

What did they say in the end? My current network is Three, not really scuffled with their customer service department yet, so was wondering how you felt they dealt with it?

Re: Samsung Galaxy Alpha - bent

Three gave me Samsungs number. I called Samsung who said go back to the retail store and give them a reference number (that he gave me) and tell them Samsung said to swap it.

I did just that and they swapped it fine for me.

More proof that the push to make devices thinner is impacting the sturdiness and build quality.

Like most things they don't make them like they used to! (sigh)

Now if only we could go back to all carrying a small brick around this kind of thing wouldn't happen... ;-)
