Re: Just wanna know that should we go for Refurbished handsets or not..?
My wife's S4 broke last year and she sent it away and it was replaced under insurance. Turns out the phone was a refurbished one and the camera quality was not the same as before. She was unhappy but the insurance company says that they never replace it with new, the always use refurbished ones.
I one the other hand bought a S2 a few years back and it had a broken screen. I managed to replace the screen and all the casing and it looks like a brand new phone. Never had any issues with it. It's now our backup phone incase we need it.
Not sure how to tell if the phone is refurbished. Best way is probably to look at any screws that have been taken out. Also look for scuff marks where they may have had to prise open the casing

Thanks for sharing your experience. I have also found some resources or data showing that using refurbished handsets is ok if we r getting the warranty from the manufacturer.
Did you heard of Togofogo - a company selling quality old refurbished handsets in india.
For any physical damage we can identify but their is no such system to do internal software health checkup.
Seeking for some more information before going to purchase one.
Thanks

I tend to avoid refurbs as they often have screens / camera glass replaced and these are often not the the same spec as the original part.
If you are on a budget the the high end low cost phones like the One Plus One or the Honor phones (Amazon have an OctaCore for £144) are worth a look.
