    Unlocking 7600

    Hi guys.

Just recieved my 7600 ordered off amazon. I was wondering if anyone had an unlock code/website so i can use my 02 payg sim card?

Also, how do i actually unlock it?

And, im sure that i read somewhere 3 block the handset if it isnt using the 3 pay network....is this actually true?

    Thanks very much guys

    Will.

You can download a code generator from the web at http://UltimateSW.com. Use ASIC 7 and key code 32779.

Alternatively pm me your IMEI and i'll generate a code for you.

or go to http://www.trycktill.com/eng/ and make sure you get it in english, let it go to the prodigy code, and try and enter code 7, it worked for me,

however if you want to get it working fully on another network, i.e. tmobile and o2 (i.e. a 2g network), you need to get the fone factory reset so you can change the mobile so it will accept 2g signals, as atm it will be set to 3g!

i have tried mi o2 sim and it worked fine, only ive heard bad things about the signal, fluctuating and being lost, due to the fone constantly searching for a 3g signal! i only checked to see whether i could get signal on my o2 sim, and i did, i didnt go further than that

so best to get it factor reset ~ £10 or £15 (enter reestit in google) and it will show you 2 decent (reputable) sites that will do it for you!

just passing info on that i have read elsewhere

ps decent enough fone, but i think it is gonna take some time getting used to the keypad

teepee - PM'd you feel safer keeping IMEI relatively private than whacking it on the web.

Ill get the phone reset by the man in the market, or a phone shop in town.

    Thanks guys

Well so far i have just unlocked it to anynetwork, but you need to reinstall the software or something....so that it stops looking for the 3G network, instead just 2G i.e 02/voda/orange.

If that is done a shop i guess it costs upwards of £10...but if i could do it at home then obviously it would be cheaper/free

Not any shop will do it, some will just do the same as you have done it!

it is a good phone and despite being hard to use for texts it is worth the outlay, i have had quite a bit of fun recording film and taking pics!

anyway to find out how to unlock it properly (factory reset) to find more read here http://www.users.totalise.co.uk/~lau...tml#0610200402
and no the cable supplied will not help with you unlocking it it needs to be none by a diff cable if i remember correctly.

My mate did the same and he is pleased with the result!

    Good Luck

GT3_GOD will be able to help you out. It cannot be flashed without expensive boxes. He's a decent chap, give him a PM.
